Battlegroup International of North America (BINA) was started in 2005 By Clayton Roberts as a fight promotion company with the goal of bringing professional mixed martial arts, kickboxing and boxing to the forefront in North Carolina. Clayton has worked with B.G.I.U.K. and world champion Duncan Airlie James which allowed BINA to gain experience on an international market level, bringing that same flair to his shows in America. Clayton’s experience culminates from over 25 years as a martial artist and professional Muay Thai fighter as well having been raised by a professional boxer, training him from a young age in the sport of pugilism. Clayton had the privilege of being trained by some of the worlds best martial artists such as Steve Mathews (Pai-Lum Kung Fu) , Don Howard (Pai-Lum, Dragon style Kung fu), Vic Coffin (Okinawan Karate, Kubudo), Dennis Lane 4- Time Muay Thai champion (Muay Thai) and Duncan James 6 time world Thai kickboxing champion (Muay Thai). Clayton has also served as head judge for world title fights in Europe as well as the U.S.A. Clayton has trained fighters in all aspects of boxing, kickboxing and mixed martial arts for numerous years amassing contacts across America, Canada and Europe these fighters as a whole have had and are having successful careers all over the states as well as the U K and Canada. These contacts allow BINA to bring fighters with talent, skill and appeal to it’s shows. BINA matchs the best local talent and brings the best entertainment to the spectators. This formula presents the best opportunity to bring higher numbers, more spectators and diverse talent to it’s events. Clayton’s gym, The Fighting Arts Training Center, has been open for several years and involved in sponsoring numerous boxing and kickboxing events in the triad, as well as having a successful record for the professional and amateur fighters that have trained there.
